This gift was the beginning of countless family memories!

Once upon a time...a fitting beginning for my first blog post... and also fitting because this amazing gift was given quite a while ago, so I can't remember exactly when it was. Anyway...THE GIFT was a getaway for Larry and I to a place called Beaver Island. My parents

arranged to watch our kids, chose our lodging, bought ferry tickets and a gift certificate to a restaurant, and threw in a few bucks for a couple beers and ice cream cones. They put together a poster board that displayed everything and wrapped it up. We didn't know anything about this place, but we were more than ready to escape on an adventure!
